A new promo of Bigg Boss 18 introduced Pavitra Bandhan fame Chaahat Pandey as the latest contestant of the show.
Bigg Boss 18 is just around the corner and fans are buzzing with excitement over the introduction of new contestants this season. The makers have started dropping contestant promos on social media. As of now, confirmed participants include popular personalities like Nia Sharma, Shilpa Shirodkar and Shehzada Dhami. A new promo shared by the makers on X (formerly Twitter) introduced Pavitra Bandhan fame Chaahat Pandey as the fourth contestant. The actress, who also appeared in Nath – Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani, recently wrapped up the show to participate in Salman Khan’s controversial series. Unlike past seasons, it seems like makers are now focusing on bringing television stars rather than social media influencers, to restore the classic charm of the show.
In the promo, Chaahat says, “Chodkar apna mayka, arahi hun apne piyaji ke ghar. Bigg Boss ji, apka intezaar rahega. (Leaving my parental home, I am coming to my lover’s house. Bigg Boss, I will be waiting for you).” The note attached to the post read, “Kaun aa rahi hai Bigg Boss ke ghar mein lekar apni deewani adaayen? Dekhiye Bigg Boss 18, Grand Premiere 6 October raat 9 baje, sirf Colors aur Jio Cinema par. (Who is coming to the Bigg Boss house with her charm? Watch Bigg Boss 18, Grand Premiere on October 6 at 9 PM, only on Colors and Jio Cinema).”
Apart from Nath – Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani and Pavitra Bandhan, Chaahat Pandey is also known for her work in RadhaKrishn, Tenali Rama, Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Hamari Bahu Silk and Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan Shree Krishn – Sarvkala Sampann, among others.
In 2023, the actress participated in the Madhya Pradesh Elections as a candidate for the Aam Aadmi Party in her hometown Damoh. She did not win the election and received only 2,292 votes compared to BJP’s Jayant Malaiya, who secured 112,278 votes.
Ahead of the Bigg Boss 18 premiere on October 6, makers are expected to drop more contestant promos. Meanwhile, many are speculating that stars like Nyra Banerjee, Shoaib Ibrahim, Padmini Kolhapure and Karan Veer Mehra might also join the new season. This year, Bigg Boss makers are bringing an exciting twist with their new theme, ‘Time ka Taandav.’ According to the promo, Bigg Boss will have the unique ability to predict the future of the contestants.
