Among the relationships, the bond between Karan Veer Mehra and Chum Darang in Bigg Boss 18 has become a fan favourite, with viewers closely following their connection inside the house. Fans have even coined the nickname “ChumVeer” for the duo, who spend significant time together and often support each other. In the latest episode, Shilpa Shirodkar shared with Karan a conversation she had with Chum about him.
Shilpa revealed Chum had been asking her about Karan’s views on their bond. She told him, “Maine bola ki he was just saying ki 35 days hain (I said he was just saying that 35 days are left). He doesn’t want to just let go of these 35 days. He is going to make the most of being with you. She asked, ‘What does that mean?’ Toh I said, ‘Just be yourselves. Jaise tum log the kyunki jo bhi feelings woh bahut organically and naturally aaya hai’ (So I said, ‘Just be yourselves like how you both have always been because whatever feelings you have developed came very organically and naturally’).”
Karan responded with honesty, “Maine toh usko pehle hi bola hai ki mere jaise toh bahut hain (I have already told her that there are many guys like me). She has everything to lose, not me.”
Shilpa disagreed and said even he had something to lose. To this, Karan explained, “No, matlab in this agar kuchh hota hai toh she is at a loss because usko jawabdaari deni hai na (No, I mean, if something happens in this situation, she is the one at a loss because she has to take responsibility).”
Shilpa mentioned Chum might face challenges after Bigg Boss if her bond with Karan deepens. Karan agreed and shared Chum had once apologised to him out of guilt but didn’t explain why. He told Shilpa that he chose not to press her for answers.
The update follows the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, where Salman Khan asked Chum about her feelings for Karan. Salman questioned, “Rishtey hote huye bhi denial meiin rehna chahte hain? (Do you want to be in denial even after being in a relationship?)” In response, Chum admitted her fondness for the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 winner but described the situation as “complicated.” She confessed that she had been in a 10-year-long relationship with someone outside the house and might consider returning to him after Bigg Boss 18.
