The Wimbledon men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic is going for ‘the most expensive tickets in the history of sports’.
The ticket prices for a seat at Center Court, to watch the men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, are through the roof!
The cheapest ticket is currently going for USD 9,191. The average ticket price is USD 13,351.29 with the most expensive ticket being USD 17,400, according to listings on the ticket-selling website TickPick.
These numbers is set to make the Wimbledon final – ‘the most expensive tickets in the history of sports’.
In the semmis, Spain’s defending champion Alcaraz took a hammer to the wall that is Russia’s Daniil Medvedev as he beat the fifth seed 6-7(1) 6-3 6-4 6-4 before seven-time champion Djokovic clinically disposed of Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 7-6(2) 6-4.
Neither match truly captivated the Centre Court crowd but Sunday’s final promises a fitting climax to a soggy Championships, especially if it scales anywhere near the dizzy heights of last year’s classic won by Alcaraz in five sets.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, is expected to be in the Royal Box at Centre Court, a rare public appearance after her cancer diagnosis.

The 37-year-old Djokovic is trying to win his eighth Wimbledon title to equal Roger Federer for the most by a man at the grass-court major. A victory by Djokovic would also give him 25 Grand Slam singles titles, more than any other player in tennis history.
It was only a little more than a month ago that Djokovic had surgery for a torn meniscus in his right knee after getting injured during the French Open.

The 21-year-old Alcaraz wound up winning the trophy at Roland Garros in June for his third major championship. That made him the youngest man with a Grand Slam title on grass, clay and hard courts.
