The brand-new season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set to start on Friday, October 18. Two former champions– Dabang Delhi KC and U Mumba will go head-to-head in the second match on the opening day. The big-ticket fixture will take place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. Dabang Delhi have kept their core intact, retaining the majority of the players who featured last season. They enjoyed a good campaign last year. With 13 victories from 22 matches, they collected 79 points and finished third in the PKL standings. They, however, failed to overcome Patna Pirates in the Eliminator.
U Mumba, who won the PKL title in the second edition of the competition, have not been at their best over the past few seasons. In the last season, U-Mumba managed six wins in 22 outings and finished in the 10th spot on the points table. U Mumba have made some modifications to their squad ahead of PKL 11. They have retained their coach Gholamreza Mazandarani.
