Al Nassr star forward Cristiano Ronaldo shared a picture with his teammates from the Saudi Pro League side with an encouraging caption following their opening round drawn on Friday.
The 39-year-old’s update on social media platform X, formerly Twitter read, “We will never settle. We will never give up. Our determination knows no limits!”
Ronaldo found the back of the net in his side’s first game week against Al-Raed as the Portuguese talisman opened the scoring in the 35th minute of the game. However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner couldn’t inspire his side to a win on the day as Al Nassr’s lead was nullified in the 49th minute of play by Mohamed Fouzair, who converted from the spot.

Ronaldo finished as the top scorer in the big-spending Saudi Pro League in the 2023-24 season with 35 goals in his kitty but lost out on the title to Al Hilal.
Ronaldo led the Portuguese side at the Euro 2024, as the A Selecao made it to the quarterfinals of the continental showpiece before being shown the exit door by France on penalties after the tie ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
Portugal had a rather lacklustre showing at the tournament in Germany as they failed to score in the two knockout games they were part of, against France and Serbia in the Round of 16, and also suffered a shock defeat to Georgia in their final Group game. They moved into the pre-quarters thanks to their opening win against Turkey and Czechia, but ultimately were largely unremarkable through the cmapaign.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star will hope to get his hands on the Saudi Arabian top league title after failing to do so in the previous campaign as Al Hilal marched to the crown with a dominant lead over second-placed Al Nassr.
Al Ahli came in third in the league last season followed by Al Taawon, Al Ittihad, and Al Ettifaq.
