Israel has freed four hostages in a special operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, said the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, were reportedly rescued from two separate locations in Nuseirat. An officer of Israel’s elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit died after sustaining injuries in the hostage rescue operation, Israeli media reported.The Israeli PM said that his security forces “have proven that Israel does not surrender to terrorism.”US President Joe Biden, who is a staunch ally of Israel, welcomed the freeing of hostages in the IDF operation.
