On December 8, Bollywood legend Dharmendra celebrated his 89th birthday and fans around the world joined in the celebration. They honoured the iconic actor with posters and photos from his memorable films, at his building and on social media as well. Many Bollywood stars also wished Dharmendra on his special day, including actress Kashmera Shah. Taking to her Instagram, Kashmera shared a photo with the Sholay star, along with her husband, Krushna Abhishek, where she praised Dharmendra by calling him “the sweetest human being we know.” She wished for his good health and happiness, hoping that he continues to spread joy and positivity wherever he goes.

In the photo, the Wake Up Sid actress is seen sitting next to the veteran star. Her comedian husband and actor is also in the picture, smiling brightly as he poses beside Dharmendra. Sharing the photo, Kashmera wrote, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Garam dharam legend and one of the sweetest human beings we know. We are lucky to have been in your presence. God bless and may you always spread happiness and light wherever you go.”

Dharmendra celebrated his birthday in Mumbai with his sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, and fans gathered outside their home. In a video shared by paparazzi, the Dharam Veer star is seen cutting a multi layer cake while surrounded by his sons, friends, fans and photographers. During the celebration, people showered flowers on the actor and the family even posed for the cameras.

Over the years, Dharmendra has been a part of many hit films and despite his age, he has shown that age is just a number for him. According to Pinkvilla, in 2018, when the veteran actor was asked who he would like to see play him in a biopic, he surprised many by not choosing his sons, Sunny or Bobby Deol. Instead, he felt that Salman Khan would be a great choice for the role.

He said, “I think Salman Khan can do my role in the biopic. He is a darling and has some habits like me. You all know Salman and his habits well. He has gone on for me.”

On the work front, Dharmendra, who last appeared in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, will be next seen with Bobby, Sunny and Karan Deol in Apne 2.
