Israeli PM Netanyahu clashed with his defence minister Yoav Gallant during the security cabinet meeting held on August 29. The meeting reportedly transformed into a shouting match during a discussion on the hostage deal.The clash erupted after the Israeli defence minister opposed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal to maintain Israeli military presence n the Philadelphi Corridor.Gallant is said to have opposed the move, telling ministers that Netanyahu’s decision “ties Israel’s hands” in the negotiations. Netanyahu got mad, banged his hand on the table, and accused Gallant of lying, officials who were part of the meeting revealed.
