The destination is designed to be a home away from home for the 117-strong Indian contingent during the 33rd edition of the Summer Olympics, which was declared officially open in an elaborate ceremony on Friday with stars and delegates present in the flesh to attend one of the most unique experiences for their lives. IOC member Nita Ambani presided over the inception ceremony, with IOA chief PT Usha and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah also in attendance.
