Sachin Khilari threw a best throw of 16.32m Men’s Shot Put – F46 Final to win silver medal, adding India’s 21st medal at the 2024 Games
World Championship and Asian Games gold-medalist Sachin Sarjerao Khilari added the Paralympic silver to his kitty with an area record throw of 16.32m Men’s Shot Put – F46 Final at Stade de France – Standing SP on Wednesday to hand India its 21st medal on the games.
The gold medal went to Paralympic Games record-holder and the reigning champion Canada’s Greg Stewart, who threw a season-best of 16.34m, after trailing Khilari initially. Luka Bakovic of Croatia claimed the bronze medal with a best throw of 15.85m. At the World Championships in Kobe, Japan earlier this year, Stewart had claimed silver behind Khilari.

The two other Indians in the fray, Mohd Yesser (14.21m) finished 8th while Rohit Kumar was placed (14.10m) 9th in the field of 10.
