US President Joe Biden said the US has much to learn from India and its leadership in the Indian Ocean region.

Quad leaders lauded India’s role in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) and said there is much to learn from India’s leadership in the region under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership on Saturday.

All three leaders praised Narendra Modi for strengthening India’s role in the Indian Ocean Region.

Sources said Kishida expressed his appreciation for Modi’s initiative in organising the Voice of Global South Summits and extended Japan’s support for the effort.

Australian Prime Minister Albanese highlighted India’s role as the predominant power in the Indian Ocean under Modi’s leadership.

President Joe Biden also praised India, stating that the US has much to learn from India’s experience and leadership in the Indian Ocean region, according to sources.

US President Joe Biden on Saturday rolled out the red carpet to welcome leaders of QUAD countries, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi of India, Anthony Albanese from Australia and Fumio Kishida of Japan.

Biden welcomed the three leaders for the QUAD Leadership Summit at the Archmere Academy in his hometown, Wilmington.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Quad is ‘not against anybody and is here to stay’.

Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese said Quad is dedicated to delivering tangible and impactful outcomes in crucial strategic sectors, including clean energy, critical technologies, and counter-terrorism.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Quad shares values like freedom and democracy, demonstrating a strong commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific and stressed the need for concrete actions and close coordination with regional countries to achieve this vision.

US President Joe Biden said Quad is a group of ‘democracies who get things done’.
