Sonam Kapoor was styled by Rhea Kapoor in Bloni’s tie-dye gown and jacket from the brand’s Paris Fashion Week collection, Passages
Sonam Kapoor paired the versatile design with Converse shoes.
The Queen of elegance and unconventional styles, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja made yet another iconic style statement with her ensemble at the opening of Converse India in Mumbai.
Dressed in a tie-dye ensemble designed by Bloni by Akshat Bansal, Sonam was styled by Rhea Kapoor. The outfit featured Bloni’s sharply tailored jacket with rubber panels on the sleeves and Sonam paired it with a white pure silk gown, hand engineered with the house’s complex hand tie-dye process.
The hand engineered tie-dye mimicked the imperfections of a tree’s growth rings, and celebrated the essence of Bloni’s design language. Both the unique pieces were from Bloni’s 2025 collection Passages, which was presented at Paris Fashion Week in September 2024.
The fluidity of the gown embraced the dexterously tailored structured jacket which beautifully complemented the tie-dye textural art. Bloni’s new collection arches across known terrains, from deep recesses of the seas, from artificial consciousness, from etheric existences. It’s a travel and intermixing between and of bodies, anatomies, skins and functions.
Decoding Sonam’s look for the night, Bloni took to Instagram to share the details of the ensemble. “Actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in Bloni complex hand engineered tie-dye gown in white pure silk as a mimesis of the imperfect contours of a tree’s growth rings, paired with the structured jacket, dexterously and sharply tailored with rubber panels as sleeves,” shared Bloni on Instagram.
What we love about Sonam and her fashion choices, is that every look she adorns celebrates and highlights the designer’s creativity and her team that brings it all together. Joining Rhea in styling Sonam was Sanya Kapoor.
Celebrating Sonam’s natural long hair was hair stylist Hiral Bhatia and adding magic with her beauty skills was makeup artist Savleen Manchanda.
Sonam Kapoor completed her stunning look with a pair of white converse shoes. Ahead of the event, Rhea took to Instagram to share a series of photographs capturing Sonam in the captivating ensemble, which was creatively captured by The House of Pixels.
The launch event was attended by Khushi Kapoor, who was announced as the face of Converse India along with Sonam and Rhea’s brother and actor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor. Also present at the event were Anshula Kapoor, Anand Ahuja among others.
