Having thrashed Bengal Warriors in a one-sided clash, Tamil Thalaivas are now set to go head-to-head against Bengaluru Bulls in the Pro Kabaddi League. The match will be played at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune, on December 22 at 8 PM IST. The two teams previously met in the opening leg of the season in Hyderabad. Bengaluru Bulls claimed a narrow victory in that match with a scoreline of 36-32.
Tamil Thalaivas look to turn the tables this time. They scored as many as 60 points in the last game while Bengal Warriors managed only 29. Moein Shafaghi and Himanshu were the best performers for the Thalaivas and secured 13 points each. Nitesh Kumar spearheaded the defence and collected seven points with tackles. Tamil Thalaivas are currently ninth in the PKL standings with 45 points in 20 matches.
Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, are reeling at the bottom of the points table. They have secured just 19 points from 20 games this season. The Bengaluru-based side faced Jaipur Pink Panthers in the previous outing and lost by nine points. In terms of raids, Bengaluru Bulls were completely outperformed by Jaipur who picked up 20 points from the opposition box.
