WWE legend Ric Flair recreated Rohit Sharma’s unique walk to collect the T20 World Cup trophy. Rohit led India to their second-ever T20 World Cup crown on June 29 in Barbados. Moments before lifting the trophy, the India captain performed a celebration similar to Flair’s iconic strut. This sparked a reaction from the WWE icon who shared a post on X claiming that Rohit had taken a page from his playbook.
The 16-time world champion has now shared a second post performing the same celebration while also calling Rohit a global sensation. In the video, Flair rocked an all-black outfit as he performed his iconic ‘Wooo’ moves. Sharing a video of his performance, Flair wrote, “‘The Worldwide Sensation! WOOOOO!”
Flair’s words have now resulted in a flock of comments on the post. Some even drew comparisons between the two, claiming that they were the greatest in their respective careers. “Rohit is the GOAT of cricket. Ric Flair is the GOAT of wrestling,” a fan wrote.

One social media user was elated to see the WWE icon pay tribute to the Indian skipper. “Woow…great to see the GOAT of WWE praising Indian captain Rohit Sharma,” he wrote.
While another fan highlighted was actually trying to imitate Lionel Messi’s celebration from FIFA World Cup 2022 but ended up performing the wrestling icon’s moves. “He tried to do Messi but indeed created nature boy Ric Flair,” read the response.

Following the narrow seven-run victory over South Africa in the final, Rohit announced his retirement from T20I cricket. Apart from Rohit, his teammates Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja also announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game. Team India will next take on Zimbabwe in a five-match T20I series, scheduled to start on Saturday, July 6.
