For Aryan Khan, his ‘ideal customer’ is someone who understands luxury but knows ‘modern, high-end but casual product’.
Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan recently came together for the promotions of his fashion brand D’YAVOL. Donning D’YAVOL’s latest collection, the duo posed for the magazine cover of L’Officiel Arabia. Aryan picked a graphic T-shirt paired with baggy cargo pants for an uber-cool look. His father and superstar Shah Rukh was every bit stylish in his white tee and pants, similar to that of his son. Apart from the photoshoot, Aryan also had an intriguing conversation with the magazine, revealing the inspiration behind his brand.
Explaining how he utilises his exposure to the world to make his work appealing, Aryan Khan told L’Officiel Arabia, “I’ve been fortunate enough to have had quite a broad exposure to the world having done school in the UK and college from the United States, and of course having lived most of my life in India. Therefore, when it comes to my taste in film and other avenues in general, there aren’t too many cultural barriers, which allows me to have a very universal approach to anything I do. I feel this permeates into all the work I do and makes it universally appealing (that’s the goal at least!).”
The star kid also revealed having a diverse team at D’YAVOL, adding that the ‘mix of nationalities and perspectives’ results in what they do daily.
For Aryan Khan, his ideal customer is someone who understands luxury but also has a knack for ‘more modern, high-end but casual product’. “For me, streetwear is an aesthetic, whereas the luxury element comes from the materials, treatment and finishing elements which we integrate into our products,” added Aryan.
The latest collection from D’YAVOL X will be out in November or early December.
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan is also set for his directorial debut with the web series Stardom. Set against the backdrop of the film industry, the show is written by the star kid.
