Recent inputs suggest that with the support of local police and other administrative agencies, PKEs are successfully gathering information on Indians who are voicing opposition to Khalistan in Canada.
From tracking groups on social media apps like WhatsApp to physical confrontations, protests and threatening Indians living in Canada, pro-Khalistani entities (PKE) are increasingly targeting the Indian community there. According to sources in Indian intelligence agencies, following a meeting with like-minded Pakistani leaders, in touch with Pakistan based terror groups, the leadership of Khalistan has amplified aggressive protests, particularly in areas where Indians gather in large numbers.
Sources said the meeting was held in the first week of November. The amplified protests could soon lead to violent confrontations, with Indians being threatened, manhandled by PKE and even booked by local authorities in various cases.
Recent inputs suggest that with the support of local police and other administrative agencies, these entities are successfully gathering information on Indians who are voicing opposition to Khalistan in different regions of Canada. Their addresses have been shared in various groups along with contact details, putting Indian families at risk.
Sources indicate that Indian restaurant owners, students, and professionals are primarily targeted by these violent Khalistani entities, who may attack Indians at various locations, including outside temples.
An official familiar with the situation said, “Various social media groups of different Indian communities have been infiltrated by Khalistani entities, who are using chats and messages to provoke Khalistani supporters. Additionally, small groups of people are threatening Indians, demanding that they either support Khalistan or leave Canada immediately.”
Many professionals living in Canada have begun selling their properties and are planning to return to India.
“I’ve been living in Canada since 2017, but I’ve never seen an environment like this. Now, people in groups are roaming the streets, ready to engage in violent altercations with Indian families. Families are being forced to pack up and leave for India to ensure their safety,” said Arpit Tiwari, a 42-year-old software engineer, speaking to News18 over the phone. He added that Indians no longer trust the local police, as many are believed to be supporting Khalistani groups.
Indian intelligence agencies are concerned that the situation will escalate by the end of this year, potentially becoming even more dangerous and challenging for Indians living in Canada.
