Fawad Chaudhry, a former Pakistani minister from Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, paid tribute to Manmohan Singh, the former Indian prime minister, following his demise in New Delhi’s AIIMS hospital.

“It is truly saddening to hear about the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh. The economic stability India enjoys today is largely due to his visionary policies. Born in Gah village of Jhelum, which now falls in Chakwal, Punjab (Pakistan), Dr. Singh, a son of Jhelum, remains an enduring inspiration for the people of this region,” Chaudhry said in a post on X.
Manmohan Singh, the architect of India’s economic reforms, died in Delhi on Thursday night. He was 92.
Singh’s death was announced by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, where he was admitted in the Emergency ward at around 8.30 PM in a critical condition.
