Actor Sonnalli Seygall is currently expecting her first child with her husband, Ashesh Sajnani. The actor often takes to her Instagram to share moments from her fitness journey as she gears up for this new phase in her life. Recently, she took to her social media to share a video of herself practicing inversion under expert supervision. Safe to say, her dedication towards fitness during pregnancy is inspiring.

Taking to her Instagram, Sonnalli Seygall shared that she continues to do inversions during pregnancy. She added that she consulted her yoga guru and doctors to confirm if she could perform them during this phase of her life. She mentioned that only after she got the green signal from them did she continue practicing this technique. She wrote, “Inversions have been a part of my yoga practice since years. One of the first things that I checked with my Yoga Guru and my doctors when I conceived, is that whether I could continue with my inversions! Both of them gave me a go ahead, saying that I could continue whatever asanas I was doing before I got pregnant.”

Practicing Shirshasana during pregnancy helps the babies move into the more spacious part of the pelvis. Additionally, it also calms the nervous system and helps mothers with swollen feet. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is more beneficial for expecting mothers than walking or any other form of exercise. The actor performed the yoga posture under careful supervision. Even during pregnancy, she has stuck to her fitness routine with minor changes to keep herself fit and active.

However, Seygall cautioned and mentioned that inversions should only be done by those during pregnancy who have done it before. It is not advisable to practice this intense yoga pose during pregnancy as the body is not used to it.
