Who operates the site and acceptance of the terms

flashstory operates this website as a professional resource dedicated to studio production in motion. By accessing or using any part of the site you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree you must stop using the site immediately. These terms constitute a binding contract between you and flashstory under the laws of the United Kingdom.

Eligibility and permitted use

The site is intended for users aged eighteen or over who are resident in the United Kingdom or have lawful authority to contract under UK law. You may use the material solely for personal professional development in studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and creating smooth high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. Commercial redistribution or resale of any content is prohibited without prior written consent.

Prohibited conduct

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with site security, transmit malware, scrape content at scale, or post material that is defamatory, obscene or infringes third-party rights. Any breach may result in immediate termination of access and referral to relevant authorities under UK legislation including the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Accounts, submissions or user content

Where registration is required you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Any submissions such as course feedback or workflow suggestions remain your responsibility and you grant flashstory a non-exclusive licence to use them for improving services. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

Ownership of site content, trademarks and permitted limited use

All text, images, videos and other materials are protected by copyright and belong to flashstory or its licensors. You may view and print limited extracts for personal non-commercial study only. Trademarks such as the flashstory name and logo may not be used without express permission. Any other use requires a separate licence agreement.

Third-party services and links

The site may reference external tools or platforms for studio production. These references do not constitute endorsement and flashstory accepts no liability for the accuracy, availability or practices of third-party providers. You should review their own terms before engaging.

Availability, changes, suspension and termination

We aim to keep the site available but make no guarantee of uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or terminate any part of the service at any time. Changes to these terms will be notified by updating the last-updated date and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised version.

Disclaimers subject to mandatory consumer law

While we strive for accuracy the content is provided for general guidance only and does not replace professional training or regulatory compliance. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or UK GDPR.

Limitation of liability

Subject to the above, our total liability whether in contract, tort or otherwise shall not exceed the amount you paid to flashstory in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of profit or data arising from use of the site.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify flashstory against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the site content.

Governing law, courts and consumer dispute rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts. You retain all rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and alternative dispute resolution schemes where applicable.

Severability, waiver, changes, contact route and last-updated date

If any provision is found unenforceable the remainder continues in full force. Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver. For questions contact us using the form on the Contacts page or write to Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG or email [email protected] or telephone 01494 671234. These terms were last updated on 04 October 2026.

Further detailed provisions ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Users retain rights to access, rectification and erasure of personal data processed through the site. All processing activities are documented in our internal records and any international transfers are safeguarded by appropriate mechanisms. We maintain technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk presented by studio production workflow data. You may lodge complaints with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Subscription services are subject to a fourteen-day cooling-off period under consumer legislation. Refunds are provided only where required by law or at our sole discretion. Course access credentials must not be shared. Breach of intellectual property rights may result in injunctive relief. We reserve the right to update pricing with reasonable notice. All prices are inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. These comprehensive provisions protect both parties and promote fair use of our professional resources across the United Kingdom television and live production sectors.
