Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have kickstarted the promotions for their upcoming web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. Helmed by director duo Raj and DK, the series will be streaming on Prime Video from November 7. On Wednesday, October 16, the cast and crew of Citadel: Honey Bunny were papped during a fresh round of promotions. Several pictures and videos of Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have now surfaced on social media.
In one of the videos dropped on Instagram by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, Varun Dhawan was seen unleashing his playful side as he took a shortcut to enter a building. Instead of taking the stairs from the front, he bent down and crossed the railing from below. The paparazzi present at the premises were heard urging Varun, “Sir Udi maar ke ajao. (Sir, jump and come).” The Student of the Year actor looked handsome in a brown jacket that he paired with a white T-shirt and beige pants. He accessorised his look with black-tinted sunglasses and formal brown shoes.
In another clip, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was captured striking a pose in front of the shutterbugs. She donned an all-blue ensemble, comprising a sleeveless top and flared pants. To elevate her look, Samantha opted for ombre shades, a gold bracelet and matching hoop earrings.
Recently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu joined Alia Bhatt for the promotions of Jigra in Hyderabad. During the event, the Brahmastra actress showered praises on Samantha and said, “You are a hero on and off-screen. I admire your talent, your resilience and your strength. It’s not easy to be a woman in a man’s world, but you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet and you have your talent and your strong kicks to be an example for everyone.”
Speaking about Citadel: Honey Bunny, the trailer garnered much appreciation from fans and critics alike. Set in the 90s, the action-thriller promises high-octane stunts and mind-blowing action sequences. It features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan as spy agents named Honey and Bunny respectively.
Citadel: Honey Bunny also stars Sikandar Kher, Saqib Saleem and Kay Kay Menon in the key roles.
