Romesh Kalra, known for helming popular shows like Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, celebrated his birthday with a grand bash in Mumbai on Friday night. The event was a star-studded affair as the who’s who of the Indian Television industry marked their presence in their stylish ensembles. Now, several inside pictures and videos are currently circulating on social media. In one such video, actress Rupali Ganguly could be seen shaking a leg with YRKKH actors Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit.

Rupali looked beautiful in a dark blue outfit, while Samridhii opted for a stunning brown sleeveless gown with a deep neck. Rohit, on the other hand, opted for a casual black shirt paired with matching pants.
As soon as the video was dropped online, it captured the audience’s attention, prompting them to share their reactions. An Instagram user wrote, “Samridhii Shukla slaying as Abhira Sharma.” Another one wrote, “#Rohidhii and #AbhiMaan.” One of them commented, “Sam so gorgeous.”
Apart from them, actor Gaurav Khanna and producer Ranjan Shahi also marked their presence at the birthday celebration.
In another viral video, the director is cutting his birthday cake with Rupali and other friends and family members standing by his side.
Both Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai are among the most loved TV shows, holding positions in the top 3 highest TRP rating shows.
Meanwhile, talking about Anupamaa, the show witnessed a 15-year time leap in October this year, due to which the makers underwent a major cast revamp and Gaurav, who played Anuj Kapadia, in the show had to exit.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s current arc, on the other hand, showcased some heart-wrenching moments between Abhira (Samridhii) and Armaan (Rohit) as they face the repercussions of the revelation about Daksh.
Notably, this year Rupali bagged the awards for Best Patni, Best Bahu and Best Maa for her performance in Anupamaa at the Star Parivaar Awards 2024. Rohit bagged the title for Best Pati for YRKKH.
