Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit recently ventured into the booming real estate market by renting out her office space in Andheri West, Mumbai. This move adds to the growing trend of Bollywood celebrities investing in properties, both residential and commercial, as a means to secure additional income. From luxury flats to commercial establishments in prime areas of the city, these stars are capitalising on the lucrative real estate market.
Madhuri Dixit’s office property, spanning a generous 1594.24 square feet, is now leased out to a private company. The rental agreement was finalised on November 13, and the actress set the terms for her monthly earnings. The company paid a hefty security deposit of Rs 9 lakh, with the first-year rent pegged at Rs 3 lakh per month. After the first year, the rent will rise to Rs 3.15 lakh, ensuring a steady flow of income for the actress.
This move is in line with the increasing trend of Bollywood stars investing in real estate, an industry that has proven to be a profitable venture. Over the past year, several other celebrities have made similar investments, further underlining the growing trend of real estate diversification among the industry’s elite. In a notable parallel, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor recently leased out a luxury flat in Worli, Mumbai, for an eye-watering Rs 20 lakh per month.
Amidst property ventures, Madhuri Dixit also made headlines with her recent acquisition of a lavish apartment in the upscale Lower Parel area. The property, located in the prestigious Indiabulls Blue project, is said to have cost around Rs 48 crore. The expansive 5384 square feet apartment is perched on the 53rd floor, offering stunning views of the city, and comes with seven dedicated car parking spaces.
